Outfit of the Day

If you follow me on Instagram (@nikaedith), you have most likely seen this outfit before. I apologize for the delay. I'm trying to catch up! I love living near the bay area because it's a great mix for all styles of dress. This is perfect for me, since I love mixing a little swag with a little punk with a little prep with the trends. This outfit was definitely eye-catching - the pants alone were! When I purchased this snapback, I was on a mission to find a San Francisco Giants one. Unfortunately, I did not find a Giants hat, but I landed this San Jose Sharks one! For all of you who don't know, the Sharks are a hockey team. I grew up loving the sharks, so it's something very sentimental. As for the rest of the outfit, please see below!

My name is Nika, pronounced 'knee-kuh', and yes, this is my full name. I am starting a blog as a way to network with the industry, market myself, and share my personal style and experiences with you! 

I have always been interested in fashion, but when I was younger, I didn't think I could do anything with that "career choice". Boy was I wrong. I moved to San Diego a couple of years ago and attended Palomar College. I took my first fashion course and realized that there was more you could do in the field of fashion than be a fashion designer. 

That episode, amongst other things, led me to where I am now - San Francisco State University as a marketing student. I hope to graduate with my B.S. in Marketing and transfer to FIT to fulfill my MBA. Along the way, I am following my entrepreneurial instinct by selling vintage, handmade, and upcycled clothing on my Etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/niedle) - more on that later - and working at Urban Outfitters - more on that later, as well. I am obviously blogging to get my name out there and networking with this who have similar interests.
